Breast Cancer: The Basics
Breast cancer is a disease that begins in the breast and may spread to nearby tissues or other parts of the body. It usually starts in the ducts or lobules. Different types and stages require different treatments. In many cases, breast cancer can be treated successfully with methods such as surgery, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, targeted therapy, and radiation.
