As we enter the final day of T20 World cup Group 2 play, four teams can still qualify for the semi-finals. Will there be one or two surprises?

We come to the final day of group action in the T20 World Cup with an enthralling day of cricket after plenty of cricket, chaos, and intervening weather.
We have four teams with a chance to make the tournament semi-finals heading into the final day of play, but if the games go as expected, it could be as simple as India and South Africa making it through.
But T20 cricket isn’t always easy.

NETHERLANDS vs. SOUTH AFRICA
After losing to Pakistan on Thursday night, the Proteas’ equation for this game is simple: go out onto the Adelaide oval and win.
If they win, they will advance to the semi-finals; if they lose, South Africa and the tournament will be in jeopardy.
Given their history in major tournaments, it would be a very typical South African strategy to start the tournament so well, only to lose to the Netherlands and exit early.
Still, Temba Bavuma and Aiden Markram appear to have found some form, and they should be too good.

BANGLADESH vs. PAKISTAN
Given that Pakistan has a higher net run rate than India, the outcome of the first game of the day does not matter as much to them as it does to Bangladesh.
If South Africa wins, Bangladesh cannot advance to the semi-finals, but Pakistan can if they win and India loses.
If India and South Africa both lose, the winner of this game joins India in the semi-finals… Still following?
To put it simply, Pakistan must first and foremost win this game before worrying about the other results on the day.
They were brilliant in beating South Africa on Thursday, despite Babar Azam and Rizwan contributing little.
Bangladesh has been tenacious throughout the tournament, but their good fortune has run out here.
THE WINNER: Pakistan ($1.24)

India is in an ideal position to know their fate before taking the field. Even if South Africa loses earlier in the day, they will still advance to the semi-finals.
If Pakistan and South Africa both win, they must win again against Zimbabwe at the MCG in front of an expected 100,000-strong crowd.
As seen throughout the tournament, Virat Kohli is the man for India: despite not being the captain, he has dragged them to victories thus far.
He’ll want to put on another show for India as they head into the semi-finals.
Zimbabwe’s recent progress has been encouraging, but they were defeated by the Netherlands. They’ll give India a scare or two, but they’ll fall short in the end.
