Psoriatic Arthritis
Psoriatic Arthritis: The Basics
Psoriatic arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory arthritis that can affect people who have psoriasis, a skin condition characterized by the rapid buildup of skin cells. This autoimmune disease can cause symptoms such as stiff, painful joints, red skin with silvery-white patches, and swelling in the tissues surrounding the joints. While there's no cure for psoriatic arthritis, various therapies are available to manage symptoms and prevent joint damage.
